Blog – December 2016
2016 really has been the year of the unexpected – or perhaps ‘unpredicted’ would be a more appropriate word. In May Leicester City were confirmed as Premier League champions (at 5,000:1 the bookies certainly got that wrong), then in June we had Brexit (the politicians and then the markets seriously misread that one). November got even more bizarre with Trump winning the US election (despite Hilary Clinton getting more votes) and then U2’s frontman, Bono, being declared ‘Woman of the Year’ (I’m really not making this up) by Glamour magazine!
It might appear that the world has gone mad but here at Prism 2016 has been an excellent year with a good number of successful Tech sector transactions (on both the buy and sell side) with the latest one closing on 30th November (more on that next time). There may be uncertainty still in the political and economic spheres but the Tech sector is flourishing and our deal flow for 2017 is strong.
“Expect the unexpected” should perhaps be the mantra going into the New Year and we at Prism look forward to helping yet more you owner-managers to maximise value in 2017.
We wish you all a very Happy Christmas and prosperous New Year.
